iSolon Assessment & Development Centres |
Dr Kevin Money, C.Psychol
iSolon offers both Assessment and Development Centres, designing, developing and delivering them for senior directors, managers, functional and clerical staff. Assessment Centres can be used in selection for recruitment or promotion, projects, assignments or teams; and to assist with organisation change and reconfigurations. Development Centres are used to support the ongoing professional and personal progression of individuals. Both are created using competency frameworks to underpin them. The competency frameworks may be off-the-shelf, drawn from iSolon's wide knowledge of a range of organisational and functional requirements, eg of 21st century leaders. Or they may be bespoke; iSolon has experience of creating tailored competency frameworks, using a combination of structured interviews, focus groups and observation to identify the competencies required in a particular situation or role. Some examples of tools which may be employed are: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator which identifies leadership style, assists in developing managerial potential, gives insight into how people will deal with responses to rapid change etc. Innovation Potential Indicator which focuses on the key behaviours that are known to enhance or impeded the development of new products, processes and procedures in organizations. Intelligence and emotional intelligence indicators A wide range of ability tests which evaluate candidates' critical reasoning skills (including verbal reasoning and numerical reasoning). iSolon can also provide tailored ability simulations for specific roles including business decision analysis; critical business planning; critical information analysis; commercial reasoning; legal interpretation; financial appraisal; fault identification; performance programming; vetting applications; helpline. Assessment/Development Centre exercises designed to assess various skills and abilities in a range of business contexts. These exercises include group discussions, groupwork and presentations that evaluate a range of competencies. |
